The update of the Municipal Electoral roll of the Tax of Real estate allows an increase in the collection of more than 250.000 euros.
This important increase, especially in the urban IBI, has been possible thanks to a good management in the economic area with the increase of nearly 1.000 new units.
The Treasurer for the Council, José Aragón has made public the information of the municipal electoral roll of the Tax of Real estate (IBI) of urban and rural areas for 2007. “the governing team has followed austere politics on expenditure and a good economic management; we can demonstrate this with the information shown at the closing of the Municipal Electoral roll of Real estate 2007 where, without increasing fiscal pressure, which is always below the IPC, we have increased the liquid quota by 250.000 euros approximately in respect of 2006 ”, informed the town councillor, who added that “ an excellent work is realized in the economic area, a very meticulous work of pursuit and control on the different zones of the locality, which has seen a fruitful increase in the number of nearly 1.000 real estate units; they are private properties that appeared as waste ground in the property registry, but that where in time its owners had constructed their houses registering them in the notary's office and registering them again in the property registry as new work; in these cases documentation has been requested from them to declare for the purpose of discharging the IBI and the owners have done so voluntarily”.
In the last years the electoral roll of IBI has been increasing continually. In urban areas it has gone on from 10.655 units in 2001 to 13.636 in 2007, a very important increase that is translated, according to the Treasurer, “In good economic data, bearing in mind that the levy is one of the most important taxes for the Council. It has to be noted in this respect that the type of levy that is applied for this tax is one of the lowest of the province, and the property values are revised from 1996”.
As for the IBI for rural areas, also there has been an increase from 4.344 to 4.440 units, in respect of the previous exercise.
The forecast points that for the year 2007 the collection in the urban IBI should be 2.200.000 euros, with 13.636 receipts; and in the rural one 124.000 euros, with 4.440 receipts.
The Treasurer has reminded that the deadline for voluntary payment of the IBI will be until September 5.
