Summer camps 2008 begin
These camps are concerned with the areas of education as an alternative way of spending recreational and educational time during the summer months.
The traditional Summer Camps organised by the Área de Juventud and Educación from the Ayuntamiento of Alhaurín el Grande have began. They are an initiative which take place every year as one of the best alternatives for schoolchildren to enjoy many recreational and educational activities.
The camp, which will take place during July and August at the El Chorro y Jorge Guilléncolegios. They are divided by age: with a on the one hand the campamento infantil for children between 5 and 11 years old and juvenil for children between the ages of 12 to 16 years old.
As in previous years children enjoy an endless variety of activities, outings, workshops and games, tailored to their age, with the coordination of specialised monitors. In total some 200 children and young people take part. The schedule of these camps this year has strengthened the review of homework for the next academic year, although games and entertainment will remain the main features.
