La barriada de San Isidro celebrates the Fiesta de las Cachorreñas

In this edition, besides the gastronomic tastings and the swapping of traditional products, there will take place the II Encuentro Regional de Bolillos

Next Saturday May 12, in the Camino de Coín will be the Fiesta de las Cachorreñas in honor of San Isidro Labrador. It is an event that every year has new activities whose objective is to encourage the particiation of neighbors and visitors in these popular traditions. This will start at 10:30 a.m. Last year it took place in Calle Real and was a great success.

At 11:00 o'clock the popular "mercadillo" (swapping) of typical products will start with thirty stalls where products of the vegetable garden will be shown, seeds, plants, as well as works of craft. During the first hour animation classes for children have been organised, the program is called “La calle es nuestra”.

12:00 p.m. there will be a performance by the dance academy “Lourdes la Flamenca” . Later during lunch, tasting of the popular “mojete” will take place. The Fiesta de las Cachorreñas features plates of typical local gastronomy and produce from the vegetable gardens alhaurinas.

2:30 p.m. prizes will be awarded to the winners of the competition for the best products of the vegetable garden Alhaurina.

7:30 p.m. a mass will be held in honor San Isidro Labrador, next to the chapel. Later on, there will be floral offering from the residents.

The program continues with the performance of the academies of dancing "Azahares de Alhaurín" and “Virgen del Rocío” and the Orchestra “Sabor”.

The Councillor of Fiestas for the City council Toñi Ledesma said “these fiestas are bigger every year and every year we try to include some novelty.
