Salen to publically tender works of the new Health Care Center in Alhaurin el Grande.
The budget for the new health centre is 4,884,854 euros.
The Mayor of Alhaurin el Grande, Juan Martín, has announced the release of a competitive bidding auction for the works of the new Health Centre, a building that will be located on a plot of municipal property next to the Municipal Nursery. The bid budget for the work is 4,884,854 euros and the deadline for submitting bids will remain open until May 20.
The project, which has been drafted by the architect Rafael Martín Delgado, is of a modern four-storey building to be built so it exploits the land available. Specifically the upper two floors are for the units for the Centre for Health, and their will be a municipal parking lot built on the two lower units
As for funding, the Andalusian Health Service of Andalusia provides 50% of the cost of the building (1.5 million) and the town hall the other 50% plus the cost of the municipal units (3.8 million euros in total) . The council has also provided the plot of 2,232 m2 where the building will be located. The new health centre and the organisation SAS will finance the equipping of the building for its operation.
It is estimated that the new Health Care Center Alhaurin el Grande may become operational in two years.
Juan Martín has stressed that "within two years, Alhaurin el Grande will have a health centre in line with their needs, a modern and located in a strategic place in the municipality, which will substantially improve the current service as it expands the number of visits to thirty-six. It also will increase the number of professionals and include new services such as dentistry, radiology and rehabilitation, as well as improving the emergency room. "
