The traditional flamenco evening will be held on July 26 in the school playground of colegio Emilia Olivares.
On June 27th the council hosted the presentation of the poster for the XXVI Noche Flamenca “Villa de Alhaurín el Grande”, which will take place on Saturday July 26 in the the school playground of colegio Emilia Olivares from 11 pm. This event has been organised by the Área de Cultura del Ayuntamiento, in collaboration with the local flamenco societies “Unión Flamenca Alhaurina” and “El hargaijo”.
This is the summer musical event par excellence, not only in the municipality and in the region but throughout Malaga, being already its twenty-sixth year of life with obligatory appointment as missed in the panorama of the provincial flamenco relying on every year with exceptional posters.
This year, has been an important turning point for this cultural event, to count on the presence of the young star of flamenco Maria Carrasco, "which will offer a concert aimed at all audiences, thus opening up the range of children spectators , which is a very important novelty in this edition," noted the presidents of the local coteries Diego Perez and Antonio Torres, who thanked the city council "the significant effort being made each year to make this event a reality." Accompanying Maria Carrasco in this flamenco bill, singer Julian Estrada, Antonia Contreras and Juan "el del puerto" on guitar Manuel Franco and Antonio Soto and flamenco dancing Sergio Aranda. The evening will be presented by Gonzalo Rojo.
The Councilor of Culture, Toñi Ledesma along with the presidents of the peñas flamencas, unveiled this poster in an evening where Antonia Contreras gave a recital, as a preamble to the event.
The Edil of Culture, thanked them and their work in reference to the cartel said that "we thought of an image as striking where each year the moon is present in Alhaurin" adding that "this year we wanted to innovate with the presence of the popular Maria Carrasco, bringing hope that the Alhaurin of all ages will enjoy this event, in a magical night."
