To indicate that this new sports equipment will allow to clear, among other things, the current pavilion that works to full performance due to high demand and also to practice other sports that until now had no space in the City Sports centre.

The new sports facility is located next to the existing pavilion what will allow the intercommunication of both enclosures. It has a built area of 1,700 m2, which includes a multipurpose trail of 26 mx 14 m for basketball, volleyball, tennis and skating fundamentally, as well as additional office equipment, services, changing rooms, nursing, cafeteria and warehouse, all with architectural solutions and modern design. Three tiers will surround the track, each with access for the handicapped, as well as communication between the pavilions. Its design will also use social and cultural development, allowing the holding of events of various kinds.

The budget for this new Covered Pavilion is 2 million euros, of which the Government of Andalusia, through the Andalusian Employment Service provides 957,000 euros and the remaining amount by the Alhaurin council .

The mayor has advanced to the pavilion could be completed by next fall.
