The new government team will be made up of the mayor's six lieutenants and half of the councilmen will be women.
The new councillors for the Areas of Immigration, Patrimony, Urban Rehabilitation and Mobility are elected.
The Mayor of Alhaurín el Grande, Juan Martin, has made public the new town council highlighting the equal presence of men and women, as well as the inclusion of four councilmen who are on the council for the first time in their position, three of these are women.
Antonia Ledesma Sánchez will continue being first Lieutenant of the Mayor, spokesman of Government's Team and the Town council of Culture, Parties, Tourism and Civic Participation.
Gregorio Guerra Gil will be the Mayor's Second Lieutenant and Spokesman of the Team of Government, and of Urbanisation, Infrastructures, Mobility and New Technologies.
Josefa Brescia Tamayo, third Lieutenant of the Mayor, will be Councillor of Public Works, Trade and Health.
Sebastian Burgos, fourth Lieutenant of Alcalde, will continue councillor for to Citizen Security and Civil defense and .will also be responsible for Sports.
José Aragon Guerrero, fifth Lieutenant of the Mayor, will continue to be councillor of Treasury and Personnel and Patrimony and Cemetery.
One of the new councillors is Diego Navas who will be sixth lieutenant of the Mayor, and the new Councilman of Environment, Gardens, Solid Residues, and Road Cleaning. These six councilmen together with the Mayor conform Local Government's Meeting.
The rest of Councilmen are: María Rosa Morales Serrano who is a councillor for the first time and is in charge of Equality, Youth and Education; Francisca Bonilla Cabrera will continue to be the councillor of Social Well-being and new areas of Immigration and International Cooperation; María Jesus Fernández Urbaneja will be the new Councillor of Local Development, Industry and Communication; Francisco Guerrero Moreno will continue being responsible for Operative Services, Agriculture and Market; Micaela Naranjo Fernández will be the Councillor of the 'pedanía' of Villafranco of the Guadalhorce, as well as of the Area of Housing and Urban Rehabilitation.
The Mayor Juan Martin has pointed out that “we have been working for four years and we are a very complete hardworking group we are in the process of making the project from our legislature a reality. The town has given us a majority trust and we will respond with excitement and hard work.” The Mayor's representative has also informed that in next few days the first Full meeting of the new corporation where, among other matters, the delegation of functions made by the Alcalde will take place.
