The City council establishes measures for the prevention of fires during the summer.

Between June 1st and October 15th it is forbidden to have a fire on your land.

Due to the climate our area presents a high risk of forest fire during the warmest months of the year where any act of negligence can cause a forest fire. It is necessary to try and reduce the risk of forest fire.

The councillor for the Environment, Sebastian Burgos for the city council of Alhaurín el Grande said that from June 1st up to October 15th by government decree it is prohibited to light a fire of any sort, including barbeques, in forest land, agricultural land and areas of natural vegetation. Likewise off road vehicles of all descriptions are forbidden in this same period for the sierras, dry or flooded river beds, cattle roads, and forest roads outside scheduled highways.
