Inauguration of the new headquarters of Civil Protection of Alhaurín el Grande.

It is a question of a place of 300 m2 situated in los bajos of the Municipal day-care centre, in the Variante Sur.

Last Friday, June 6, opened the new headquarters of the local group of Civil Protection in Alhaurín el Grande, some units located in los bajos of the Municipal Day-care centre in la Variante Sur, and have about 300 m2 where wide parking is included for specialized vehicles, an office of address, a meeting room, storeroom and complete services.

At the opening ceremony attended municipal authorities and neighbourhood associations and groups, representing groups of Civil Protection of Álora, Alhaurín de la Torre, Cartama, Marbella, Mijas and Teba.

The Mayor Juan Martin together with the local coordinator of Civil Protection in Alhaurín el Grande, Salvador Cardenas were responsible for unveiling the plaque this day, where the coordinator received a golden emblem of the Town hall in gratefulness for his service and dedication to the village from his post in Civil Protection.

In his speech, the Mayor stressed the importance of enhancing the volunteer work of Civil Protection, "not only for the work in the service of the citizen security, prevention, disasters or accidents, but for the important social work and (training of young people in volunteer work, a job that we intend to strengthen with these new facilities, which not only improve service in the town but in the area, since everyone knows the intense collaboration between Local Police, Civil Guard and the various local groups of neighbouring people, to which I am grateful for your presence in this act ", the councillor pointed out.

The mayor stressed the importance of this new headquarters, not only for its breadth and modern facilities with anticipation of future growth, but because of its strategic location in Variante Sur, which is very well communicated with all the people and close to the Sierra.
