The City council of Alhaurín el Grande organises diverse initiatives for the advance of the PGOU.
The objective is to spread the information, counting on the participation of all the groups, industralists and residents in general.
The City council of Alhaurín el Grande informs its residents in advance of the General Plan of Ordenación Urbana that was approved on the 9th of August.
Last Tuesday a conference by the PGOU in the Casa de la Cultura. This presentation was made by Concejal de Urbanismo Gregorio Guerra, who remembered that “the City council has had a specific municipal office of information, where in the document will be displayed along with any suggestions from residents; in addition the document can be seen on the City council’s website www.alhaurinelgrande.net , until the 15th of November a long with calendar of informative talks and debate on the local television station.
Next, Antonio Antonio Fernández Bordes, Director of equipo Técnico Redactor de PGOU, showed in detailed the diverse and technical aspects of the document, “that will take place over a period of about 20 years.”
He explained that “this has taken into account the population growth of Alhaurin el Grande, as well as equipment, cultural, sport and social issues”.
Finally, the Mayor Juan Martín, said the PGOU document is composed of six zones:
- Tourist zones, where Sierra Gorda and surrounding area, as well as the zone of carretera de Mijas.
- Commercial and industrial zones, the polygon north between Villafranco and Coín, perfectly connected by the Carretera del Arco, as well as the Enterprise Park ‘Tecnópolis’ next to the present industrial estate, that it will have recreational, leisure and technological areas.
- Residential zones, from the carretera until Alhaurin de la Torre and until Coin and Villafranco del Guadalhorce.
- Zones of extension of the old town.
- Protected zones, the important zone of protección de la Sierra (protection of mountains), as well as la protección que se lleva a cabo en la zona de acuíferos (protection of wáter areas).
- Zone of social equipment between carretera de Cártama and the Tecnópolis.
The edile added that “the document also considers the present and future carreteras, from the Dehesilla to Miralmonte; an important exit towards the Technological Park by the Camino Viejo de Málaga; the carretera de Cártama that will arrive directly at the autovía del Guadalhorce; the carretera de Mijas that will have interest to tourists character as well as the carretera de Villafranco that will be one of the main routes for Alhaurin from north to the south”.
The mayor explained that the proposal of the PGOU which showss an urban ground growth of:
· 3.5 milllones of m2 with an average density of houses (30 houses by hectare)
· 1.5 million m2 with low density (5 to 10 houses by hectare)
· 2.5 million m2 for tourist ground (10 houses hectare)
· 1.5 million m2 for industrial ground and of services.
All it with an increase of 1,7 million m2 of protected ground to preserve the shared water-bearing areas of Alhaurín el Grande and Coín.
The edile indicated that “the document that will lay the the foundations of the growth of Alhaurín el Grande for the next twenty years and must count on the participation not only of the technicians and team of government, but also with all the residents, and industralists”.
The PGOU of Alhaurín el Grande will remain in a period of exhibition to the public until the 15 of November.
